Purpose & Goals

 

Purpose

  • We purpose to glorify Jesus Christ in all that we do and say (1 Corinthians 10:31)
  • We purpose to obey the Great Commandment by loving God and others with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:29-31)
  • We purpose to obey the Great Commission by Reaching, Baptizing and Teaching people (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • We purpose to commit to others the things which have been committed to us that they might teach others (2 Timothy 2:2)
  • We purpose to build churches upon the foundation of Jesus Christ with works that will last eternally (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)

 Goals 

General

  • Tell as many souls as we can about the Lord Jesus Christ
  • After an individual is saved, baptize them and then disciple them with the AtoZ Mentoring Course
  • Start fundamental, independent baptist churches
  • Train national Uruguayan’s to pastor and start fundamental, independent baptist churches in Uruguay and abroad
  • Give regular reports to my sending and supporting churches of what God is doing in Uruguay

Before Uruguay

  • Start part-time deputation October 2008
  • Start full-time deputation June 2009
  • Challenge and encourage churches while on Deputation to do more for the work of missions and individuals to give their lives for missions
  • Finish Deputation in 2010
  • Learn the Spanish language

First Two Years in Uruguay

  • Start a fundamental, independent Baptist church
  • Have 10 finish the AtoZ discipleship course
  • Average attendance of 75 in church
  • Distribute at least 10,000 tracts
  • Officially organize the first church
  • At least 5 trained Sunday school teachers

First Five Years in Uruguay

  • Continue to develop my skills communicating in Spanish
  • At least one church fully indigenous
  • Once the first church is fully indigenous with a Uruguay pastor, we will start a second church

First Ten Years in Uruguay

  • Support five foreign missionaries from churches started
  • Send out five missionaries or local church-planters from churches started
  • Personally start at least three churches
